Books are the perfect idea for a 12 days of Christmas family tradition. My 4 and 2 year old love reading, especially at Christmas time. It is so special and magical to snuggle up, enjoy a hot chocolate together and read Christmas stories.

Below you will find 12 of out favorite Christmas books for preschoolers and kindergarteners. All books listed are generally suitable for children age 4 years and up. Because each child is unique, some kids may already enjoy these books at a younger age while other may not have the attention span to sit through these. You can find more Christmas books younger kids/toddlers will love in a previous post.

A quick tip: after Christmas pack the Christmas books away with your Christmas decor and pull them out again next season when you start to decorate your house. It makes the books even more special for your kids.
